The secret Dragon Quest game*

*Not exactly

RPG Maker 2 is a game published by Agetec that allows players to create their own 3D Role-Playing-Games. What's interesting is the sample game included. From a GameSpot article

The game will also contain a stand-alone RPG that was created by the Dragon Warrior team using nothing but RPG Maker 2. We'll have more details on RPG Maker 2 as they become available.

That stand alone RPG is Fu-Ma, a game designed by several members of the Dragon Quest/Warrior team. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the credits for RPG Maker 2 to see which members of the DQ staff made it. Update: After some research, Fu-Ma was supervised by Kazunori Orio.

Fu-Ma plays like a literal 3D interpretation of the first Dragon Quest game. You have a set of actions that are accessed from a menu and the battle system is turned-based and in first-person. Click here to see footage of the game.
